3. Ray Roberts Lake State Park

Covering nearly 3,800 acres and established in 1993, Ray Roberts Lake State Park is one of the best destinations for water sports enthusiasts in the region. Located just 60 miles east of Bowie, this nature reserve can be reached in about one hour by car via route FM922. Some of the activities you can enjoy here include fishing, boating, camping, hiking, and swimming.
